Dog Training Experience: Jeanine has a background
in dog training dating back to 1996, teaching a variety of classes
including Family Dog , Trick, and Freestyle for the Animal Protection
Society (APS) Dog Training Program. Jeanine co-founded the year
around APS Drill Team, choreographing group routines for a team
featured regularly at local events and at the Canine Freestyle
Federation competitions. Jeanine is currently competing with her
Brittany, Trapper at Level III.
Memberships: The Association of Pet Dog Trainers
(APDT), the Triangle Presbyterian Church Animal Assisted Ministry
(co-founder), and the Animal Protection Society of Orange County.
CFF Board Experience: Jeanine has been a board
member of CFF since 2003, serving as the Guild Chair, and now
as Vice President.
Non-profit Experience: Jeanine has served in
leadership positions on several non-profit boards and/or committees
including CFF, Junior League of Durham and Orange County, and
the APS Dog Training Program. Jeanine and her husband Fred co-founded
the Triangle Presbyterian Church Animal-Assisted Ministry visiting
animal group.
Career/Education: Jeanine is employed by GlaxoSmithKline,
a pharmaceutical company, as a Director Project Planning. Jeanine
is from Forest City, Iowa, and is a graduate of the University
of Iowa, College of Pharmacy with a BS, Masters, and Doctor of
Pharmacy degrees.
Family: Jeanine moved from Iowa to Durham, North
Carolina in 1985, married her next door neighbor, Fred, in 1992.
They have 4 dogs: 2 English Pointers-Buster and Josie, and 2 Brittanys-Trapper
and Lucky.
